Mothers Day Not Again !

once a year
they remember us
our wrinkles
our sufferings
our hair turned grey
their sense of shame
that they call it a
Mothers Day
they who threw
us on the roads
like human stray
bitter hardships
pain that has
become a mothers
mainstay
thank you
children of a lesser god
may you too become mothers
one day
so your childrens children
will also
remember a mother
this way
on Mothers Day
maternal instincts
a bounced cheque
that does not pay
a mother sitting
outside her
childrens doorway
curdled milk
of motherhood on display
glossy society
paying lip service
on the tombsone
of a Mothers decay
a Memoriam Mass
called Mothers Day
