Why Do They Hide Their Faces!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why Do They Hide Their Faces!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, originally uploaded by firoze shakir photographerno1. because basically
they are cowards
to society
so they hide
their gay faces
as a draconian law
called article 377
their backside chases
their enslaved soul
to a fear of
dangerous living

of life's facebook
born in captivity
children of an androgynous god
in gilded cages
a war of gender equality
on a slow burner rages
life is a stage
blank pages and pages
on the soul of humanity
a fire blazes

Mumbai Gay Parade 2009 Finale, originally uploaded by firoze shakir photographerno1. 90,581 items / 548,995 views

I had kept these pictures shot at the lag end of the Gay Parade on hold , that I have decided to upload and add to my Gay Parade set at Flickr.

About 200 pictures which is part of the Gay Parade finale.

All this comes under the genre of street photography, and than at Flickr there is another core tag called extreme street photography, I realized perhaps cutting my head on Moharam , on the street of Mumbai could be called extreme street photography.

What takes a lot of time was the fact that I cross blogged these pictures to my Hijdaeunuch blogs at Wordpress.

These were shot on 16 August 2009 and with the Ganpati festival they might not see the light of day..hence this immediate urgency to post and complete this set...

And once again thanks to Ashok Row Kavi who has gone to Locknow UP to buy a white castrated elephant as a symbol of gay emancipation from a human terror called Arti…

Dedicated to Nishant from Canada, originally uploaded by firoze shakir photographerno1. Lalbaug cha raja pictures

Dear Firoze bhai, I have become your admirer after seeing most of your collection. You do have a keen eye on photography.

I am an ardent devotee of Lalbaug cha raja but living in Canada for past 6 years and every year I wait anxiously to see your collection of his pictures.

However I am not able to save your pictures. Do you mind sharing some of your favorite close-ups of Lalbaug cha raja with me. I would greatly appreciate your kind gesture.

Best Regards,

Dear Nishant

I dedicate this to you in the humility of my a picture and as a poem as I begin my fourth fast of Ramzan, it is 4.41 am in Mumbai just now..

In Hinduism, Ganesha refers to the "lord of the hosts," also spelled as Ganesa and Ganesh, often also referred to as Ganapati) - and is one of the most well-known and venerated representations of God (Brahman).

He is the first born son of Shiva and Parvati, and the husband of Bharati, Riddhi and Siddhi. He is also called Vinayaka in Marathi, Malayalam and Kannada, Vinayagar and Pillayar (in Tamil), and Vinayakudu in Telugu.

'Ga' symbolizes Buddhi (intellect) and 'Na' symbolizes Vijnana (wisdom). Ganesha is thus considered the master of intellect and wisdom.

He is depicted as a big-bellied, yellow or red god with four arms and the head of a one-tusked elephant, riding on, or attended to by, a mouse. He is frequently represented sitting down, with one leg raised in the air and bent over the other. Typically, his name is pr…
