waiting for a few coins

in his mansion the beggar
seeking succor at his gate

a delirious moment
he tried to quizzically
contemplate .. did she
read his inner thoughts
his confusion his anxiety
in silence he tried to
narrate ..a winding
path of life ..he
could not think
straight ..
a blink a poetic
pause checkmate ..
