Jesus Please Save the World They Plead

Upholding the Human Values of Truth and Courage is what Moharam signifies on the soul of Humanity.
My Familys House Majlis
On Sunday 10 Jan was our house majlis , the ladies were accommodated at my home and the gents in the home of my kind and generous neighbor Tehsin and Hadi Mukadam.
Maulana Hasnain Karari recited a majlis that touched everyone , he spoke on heaven and motherhood ..and real Paradise lies under the feet of the Mother.
It was eloquently described by him with anecdotes from the Holy Prophets family..
Last was the Masaib , narration of the sad turn of events , Arab barbarism as perpetrated by the Butcher of Karbala Accursed Yazid..
Then the Niyaz was served kheema chapatti,chicken korma rice and a sweet dish.
The house of Tehsin and Hadi Mukadam is simple serene and beautiful..
Saqlain at the Bandra Mehfil Juloos

I have been shooting Saqlain since he was a little kid and scourging his back with smaller blades , I shot him in the Ashura and Chehlum juloos of Mumbai and the Guru Nanak Park juloos..and he is a hard hitter with his blades , he has become much taller than the last time I saw him..
Marziya Shakir and Zuljana
This was the first encounter of Marziya Shakir my two year old grand daughter with Zuljana , the replica of Imam Hussains steed , who protected the Imam in the battle of Karbala..
No procession in Mumbai or Lucknow Mehmoodabad, Kolkatta ,Jaorah or Delhi is complete without the Zuljana..The best Zuljana is owned by the Raja of Mehmoodabad a super stallion from Arabia , bought solely to be kept as Zuljana.. nobody rides him at all ...and he costs a bomb, during Athvi he is let lose in the crowd , he charges blindly rushing in the Shia cemetery at Mehmoodabad and bangs his head at the roza of Imam Hussain.
My wifes brother Mohomed Arif Qazilbash of Diamond Cassettes , my brother in law has married into a reputed family of Mehmoodabad.
The Zuljana at the Chup Tazia juloos during Athvi in Lucknow is very impressive and decorated traditionally.. even the Zuljana during the Mehndi juloos at Bada Imambada Lucknow is noteworthy..
Both these juloos in Lucknow have elephants leading the juloos along with an Amary of camels..
Sada Rahega Hussain ka Gham
Marziya wears the Maknha an Iranian head gear when she goes out with her parents , she wears it when I take her out to the Bandra Khoja Shia mosque, and she wears it without any encumbrance to her child's soul.
However I must add as this made of polyester she can bear it for an hour , than she pulls it out when it gets hot and discomforting.
But she takes on the avatar of the surroundings I take her too, but the Maknah adds to her feminine charm and grace , and though the Bandra juloos was her first juloos it looked like she had seen it all, within her consciousness , she was not a bit scared of Zuljana , and he was as comfortable with her as she was with him.. she almost put her hand in his mouth.. Zuljana is the replica of Imam Hussains stallion..
When the kids scourged themselves she watched intensely , but not afraid, she saw visuals she will see later in life on the path of her religiosity every Moharam of her life..and I know she will remember these dark and mournful moments of pain , when she grows older and walks the street of memories with her children too, so Moharam is a fruit of tree ,its seeds create more trees and the fruit of this tree is immortal, from one generation to the next..
