the soul of
Islamic society
comatose in deep sleep
bomb after bomb
one muslim on another
muslim heaps
yes muslims
are the only race
that kills it own
our bad karma
or bad nasib
muslims kill
muslims lustfully
even during ramzan
slaughtering shias
like sacrificial sheep
the tenets of islam
nor the tenes of humanity
will they ever learn to keep
muslims in name
searching for a nirvana
in one sweep
nubile virgins
as they dance and leap
waiting at the gates
of a paradise
as blood seeps
innocent men
women children
on the soul of
the crescent
a silhouette
creeps
buying
selling death
a commodity cheap
a belt round the waist
a feather touch
the soul out leaps

I will now continue posting the balance pictures of this set that I kept on hold and I think my old computer crashed because I slave drove it to death with my non stop uploading at Flickr.
And this is my tribute to Flickr for allowing me to post my angst as a human being covering those events that I shoot passionately but on my own terms ..I shoot what I want to shoot provided I have the inclination mental make up and time.
Things have not been good but I manage and in a strange way I must confess when I am down it is my mentor an American Jew Dr Glenn Losack MD who cheers me up we shot Moharam together , although I did not allow him to cut his head with my sword during Chehlum..
Imagine an American on the streets of Mumbai with a bleeding head ...well because of his love for me my country my family my faith I have added him as Family here on Flickr and in real life.
He is Marziya Shakirs god father and Guru No I
I am Marziyas Guru No 2

We may all be photographers shot different things situations people and places .
No two pictures by two different photographers on the same subject can be the same simply because though we see the same thing we shoot it in individual style a style we have adopted.
I am a street photographer I shoot simplicity I shoot pain , pain is the core essence of my street photography, pain the only common ingredient that makes us human.
We all feel pain, in one form or the other and this is pain , waiting for him to safely jump into the arms of the people below his friends his compatriots even views feel his pain and the pain of the moment because we are human or is because we are human we feel pain.
I kept my 21 Ramzan a Shiaa segment pictures I shot recently on the Martyrdom of Imam Ali on hold to post this Dahi Handi , because I wanted you guys to see it before it loses its favor.
21 Ramzan for the Shia like me and others like is a moment of belief it never loses its topicality we as Shias relive it every second of our lives and so the saying every land is Karbala every day is Ashura is the core of our Shia spiritual survival..
For last 1400 years we have bled simply to tell you through our blood the story of a Martyrdom of Imam Hussain the grandson of the Holy Prophet who was killed by the Muslim Caliph of the Ummayad era Yazid we curse him and every year even during Ramzan we shed our blood t tell you that Terrorism is not a modern occurrence it is a conspiracy by the evil forces within the Muslim clergy and the power brokers and their petro dollars and their satanic agenda to keep the Muslim world divided anyone who has caused maximum damage and harm to Islam it is not just the bogey man or the American or the Jew but politics of hate among the segregated divided Muslim nation and the Misguided Muslim man whether you call him a Jehaddi or a Taliban or a terrorist a thorn by another name just cant be a rose.
This is my view as a common man albeit a Muslim on the street who lives in harmony with the predominant religion of the country he belongs to Hinduism which I shoot and document as Hope and Hindutva a Message of Universal Peace and Brotherhood.
The country of my faith my belief is here it is India.. here I find my soul and the soul of my Shiasm the faith I belong to which was bequeathed as a last will and testament as a pact as a pledge in my mothers womb it is her heritage I carry on my shoulders with pride.
So after this segment I shall post my 21Ramzan pictures and finally complete the Dahi Handi set of Mr Pratap Sarnaiks Vartak Nagar Gokul Ashtami celebrations.
My pictures are a story board of your life and my life interlinked to eternity as Humanity and Peace.
So if you see blood and gore after the Dahi Handi you know this is a photo stream of a bareefeet Shia blogger of Mumbai..

“Yada Yada Hi Dharmasya
Glanirva Bhavathi Bharatha
Abhyuthanam Adharmasya
Tadatmanam Srijami Aham”
A shloka taken from Bhagvat Gita where Shri Krishna while addressing Arjuna says “Whenever there is decay of righteousness, O! Bharata and a rise of unrighteousness, then I will manifest myself”.
I am keeping my Dadar pictures on hold just a few hundred remain to be uploaded at my site at Flickr.com.
After I had shot the Dadar Dahi Handi I went to Thane Vartak Nagar to shoot Mr Pratap Sarnaiks Dahi Handi - the No 1 dahi handi of Thane .
It is not about ten tiers or nine tiers that make you big but humility and hospitality .
Now why do I say this simply because emotions override all other aspects of Humanity.
And this was visible when Aftab Shivdasani spoke to the disciplined peace loving dahi handi lovers of Thane at Vartak Nagar where he was the chief guest along with Prachi Desai , he thanked the crowd and this fine actor whom I have known since a long time had tears in his eyes he was overwhelmed by the love of the crowds for him and these tears are what makes a Dahi Handi the No 1 in Thane.
I read body language and shoot pictures as a poet I read the poetry of tears as they dropped from Aftabs eyes he touched Thane with this gesture of his humanness and his humility for the Sarnaiks too,
I am not journalist nor do I have any media pretensions of being a journalist my camera my pictures do the talking and so this long series might be devoid of text..
I must talk of one person who besides the Sarnaiks touched me deeply was Pappu Bhai a close family associate of the Sarnaiks , he knew I was fasting tired and my legs were swollen as I normally shoot some events barefeet this was one of them.
He ordered batata wada fruits and cold drinks so I could break my fast on the stage and I did it without feeling I was away from home.
All the volunteers were very helpful to me the performers and the guests and when Mr Pratap Sarnaik introduced me to the crowds I too had tears in my eyes , he told them I was the photographer who had shot their World Record breaking Dahi Handi 2008 .
He called me Family and a few minutes back today his son Purvesh Sarnaik Pappu Bhai came to my house with a shawl to felicitate me and I liked this because they felicitated Marziya Shakir my grand daughter two and a half year old street photographer too,
Well before they felicitated me Marziya shot their pictures on my Nikon D 80..and they could not believe it..
So now you know why Mr Pratap Sarnaik his family and my family are a singe family.
For me before you are a Hindu or a Muslim you need to be human this is the Mantra of Mans survival his Karma and his Dharma.
I believe I am as much Hindu as you are Muslim..
