Der Randy
An old man lived alone in Idaho. He wanted to spade his potato garden, but it was very hard work. His only son, Bubba, who used to help him, was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and described his predicament.
Dear Bubba:
I am ...feeling pretty bad because it looks like I won't be able to plant my potato garden this year. I'm just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. If you were here, all my troubles would be over. I know you would dig the plot for me.
Love, Dad
A few days later, he received a letter from his son.
Dear Dad:
For heaven's sake, Dad, don't dig up that garden. That's where I buried the BODIES.Love, Bubba
At 4 a.m. the next morning, FBI agents and local Police showed up and dug up the entire area without finding any bodies. They apologized to the old man and left.
That same day, the old man received another letter from his son.
Dear Dad:
Go ahead and plant the potatoes now. It's the best I could do under the circumstances.Love, Bubba

Shooting The Streets of Bandra
178,564 items / 1,401,923 views
I normally use a wide to shoot the streets but of late I am using the telly lens to give a different feel and perspective to the pictures I shoot..and these are candid s without me being closely involved.
And each street of Bandra has its flavor you might not find on another street , it speaks volumes of the people who live here like a novel of Honore De Balzac..Old Goriot comes to mind.
And Balzac and Dickens were both gifted with the eye of a camera and captured what they shot brilliantly and descriptively..nuances silhouettes light shade pained with words.
I shoot pictures inspired by them , they including Dostoevesky were part of my growing up , perhaps they were street photographers shooting life without a camera .. I shoot body language and the darkness of the people that are heroes of my surroundings.
The main hero is Jesus Christ , perhaps I have shot him extensively yet Jeusus is evergreen and never gets over exposed.
That is why I get upset when people ridicule my subjects their background or their gender or culture and traditions.
So I choked my comment box.. no comments praise or hate on my pictures keep it simmering in your system instead of offloading your seminal anger on my pictures.
Funny because I shoot Hinduism some call me a Hindu but luckily though I shoot hijras extensively too.. I have not been called derogatorily as hijras are called for being hijras.
For being a Shia I am called a Kafir which is matter of pride I would rather be called a Kafir than be called a Moslem who bombs mosques and promotes fanaticism for its awe and shock value.. and those that say Terrorists have no religion is a misnomer it is only religion misinterpreted that makes them as heinous as they are.
And as a street photographer I am much close to God a God who lives among the homeless the hopeless I think the God I worship is the most poor God for he identifies himself more with the poor than the filthy rich.
This is my personal view as a poet blogger photographer...Wife is watching the finals between Sri Lanka India I am busy hitting away the keyboard of my soul..., sharing it with all of you.
I shall take a nap after this post.
The Nagori Milk Traders of Bandra

There are about a dozen Nagori outlets in Bandra Bazar road area supplying morning milk to the residents and wife was grumbling this morning the milk rates have risen again by Rs 3..
Fatima dairy has the largest clientele he has 3 shops in the same building , a provision general sores and two milk outlets.
There are three in the bazar area and these guys have a healthy competition among themselves , all the people that work for them are from Nagor.
The Nagoris are predominantly Sunni Muslims very devout and very hardworking.. there are quite a few famous ones in Mahim too in the Dargah lane.
This gentleman was surprised when I aimed my telly lens at him , his shop is called Rizvi Milk Center at Bandra Bazar Road.
Fatima Milk center sells fresh cold goats milk too..
Mahim Fort

from wikipedia
The Mahim Fort (Marathi: माहीम किल्ला) is a fort in Mahim in Mumbai, Maharashtra state, India.[2] Strategically located in the Mahim Bay, the fort overlooks Worli to the south, Bandra to the north, and Mahim to the east. The origins of the fort are unclear, but it occupies a strategic location that has been frequently contested. The fort is currently in disrepair, suffering from administrative neglect, encroachment of slums, and exposure to tidal erosion.
In 1516, Portuguese commander Dom Joao de Monoy entered the Mahim Creek and defeated the commander of Mahim fort.[3] The fort was the site of frequent skirmishes between the Portuguese and the Ali Shah, a Gujarati ruler, before the island of Mahim was appropriated from Bahadur Shah of Gujarat by the Portuguese in 1534. In 1661, the Portuguese ceded the island of Mahim as dowry to Charles II of England. After the English gained control of the fort, it was strengthened by Sir Thomas Grantham in 1884,[2] and became a strategic watchtower against possible Portuguese attacks, and later from the Marathas.[2]
In 1772, the Portuguese attempted to attack this fort, but they were repelled by the British with cannonballs.[2] The Mount Mary's Basilica was damaged during this encounter. According to historical accounts, the fort had 100 soldiers and 30 cannons at that time.[2]
[edit] Encroachments
The fort lies off the Mahim Causeway which links the suburbs to the city. The fort is heavily encroached by slums, and parts of the fort have caved in due to tidal erosion and neglect. Though the site is classified as a Grade I heritage structure, nothing much has been done to maintain it.[1] Large boulders are strewn on the sand and crevices as high as three metres (fifteen feet) are visible. Responsibility of the fort is shuffled between the state government and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, although the fort lies of state government land.[1] In 2004, rupees five lakhs had to be returned as the encroachments were not removed by local authorities.[4] Later, in 2008, Jairaj Phatak, the Municipal Commissioner had proposed a makeover to the fort.[5]
