Kim Jansen The Poet of Moving Images

Kim Jansen The Poet of Moving Images, a photo by firoze shakir photographerno1 on Flickr. It was Kim who sent me a message on Flickr , he wanted me to help him get access to the hijra community , that he and Viola were documenting, his note to me was polite and thus made me respond to him , normally I avoid all those who contact me regarding the hijra community.

I am a photographer I shoot the transgender community but after the shoot I am back to reality, I cannot solve gender based problems you have to approach the right forum.

So when it turned out that Kim and Viola were staying in Bandra we met I took them home they endeared themselves to my family my grand daughter and my wife invited them to lunch before leaving for Karbala..

Ahl al-Bayt

wikipedia

Ahl al-Bayt (Arabic: أهل البيت‎) is an Arabic phrase literally meaning People of the House, or family of the House. The phrase "ahl al-bayt" was used in Arabia before the advent of Islam to refer to one's clan, and would be adopted by the ruling family of a tribe. Within the Islamic tradition, the term refers to the family of the Islamic prophet Muhammad.[1] Muslims venerate Muhammad's household as having a special significance in the Qur'an, the Muslim holy scripture, and the hadith, reports recording the words and actions of Muhammad.

The Shi'a definition of the phrase includes Muhammad, Fatimah, Ali, Hasan and Husayn (known collectively as the Ahl al-Kisa, "people of the man…

Zuljanah, a photo by firoze shakir photographerno1 on Flickr. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dhuljanah (Arabic: ذو الجناح‎) was the horse of Husayn ibn Ali. The original name of Zuljanah was Murtajiz and the reason for it being named that way was because of its sound of neighing being sweet, furious and high making it different from other horses. It was purchased by the Prophet Muhammad from an Arab called Haris. It features prominently in the traditional narrating of the story of the Battle of Karbala and it is thought to have been a White Stallion.

According to the legend, when Husayn ibn Ali was a mere child and learning to crawl, he used to go to the stable of Zuljanah and look at it. Once the Prophet of Islam said that his grand son was curiously looking at the horse as if some mysterious conversation was taking place, so the Prophet asked the child if he wished to ride the horse and on being answered the Prophet Muhammad ordered the horse to be mounted and when Husayn ibn Al…
