Jesus Is Under Attack

they want him to go back
first it was burning of his
churches than tarnishing
the name of revered mother
theresa ..crimes well stacked
but the rape of a 71 year old
nun in W Bengal another
Indias Daughter grieves
Hope Humanity hijacked
our country our respected
PM  who says Sab Ka Sath
Sab Ka Vikas ..empty words
backtracked whom
will the Home Minster Ban
Or which official will he sack
as a nation we are ending
up with far too many cracks
5 year old girls raped we
rejoice on cow protection
but rape victims sidelined
die in ignominy unsolved
cases gathering dust on
police racks ..a future
grim sullen dark black

You Should Not Be Surprised If Sanghi Motormouths Start Saying Jesus Was A Hindu

The Istriwalas of Bandra Bazar Road

I shoot these guys .I dont know his name and I pass him by several times in the day..he works without complaining , he smiles when he sees me and I repay him for this kind gesture by taking his pictures. And he is a migrant from Uttar Pradesh , not that Uttar Pradesh that is a full page ad in newspapers that touts 3 years of Akhilesh Yadavs government .

He is from  Uttar Pradesh where the lords that ruled hardly did anything about building jobs infrastructure , so these guys with dreams  in their eyes came to Mumbai ..1000 km away because they knew that many of their village people had made it in Mumbai ,,Those who ruled Uttar Pradesh built hideous parks , built statues humiliating the poor man and stupid elephants and destroyed the true essence of Adab Tehzeeb and flavor of Lucknow .. the next lot gave a free hand to crime and to sectarian violence and the only thing they did was to make Saifai as famous as Bollywood ,,on the dead bodies of the victims of Muzzafarnagar and a big fat wedding..that bought no succor to the poor ..

And they come to Mumbai in hordes , go to Charbagh when the Pushpak leaves for Mumbai and see the long line of youngsters standing to get a seat in unreserved compartment ad the Railway Police with his fat ugly belly who openly takes money for his service ,, getting them a seat. Everyday every Mumbai train will be packed with these job hunters job seekers .. they come to a heartless city the main city of migrants that takes them in happily as laborers ,kabadiwalas , dhobis , barbers , fruit sellers vegetable sellers , fish sellers ..and he does more menial jobs that the jobless  Marathi Manoos will never do in his lifetime.

And he does all this without arrogance laid bare humility , and as time passes by he has his own ricksha , his own taxi , his kids studying in convent schools and his own house in the slums .

And I am not essaying their cause simply stating what I have observed , my dad too was a migrant living in the Kurla slums when Mumbai was more happily known as Bombay ,, and he slogged as a tailor a master cutter and finally gave us a house over our heads first at Wodehouse Road and than at Strand Cinema Colaba ,,so the people of North India made Mumbai their homes with the sweat of their brows be finally called Mumbaikars of today ,, and my dad and my mom are buried in Mumbai soil a city they loved cherished more than Lucknow.

Every politician in Uttar Pradesh never did much for the state . and that is why Maharashtra is million times better than dying in Uttar Pradesh.. this is my personal wish.. as a son of a once North Indian migrant ..who came to Bombay when he was 14 years old ,,saw the Dockyard blast and worked compatibly with his English couturier bosses.

Sometimes even a Dhobi ironing a crumpled trouser takes you back into time ,,and I could have left this post blank textless too.

Garbage As Art Form...Man Can Live Without Culture But Not Without Garbage

The North Indian Mans Tragic Story

He came to Mumbai in 1965.
His first wife  she was bedridden with a terminal disease died no kids .
He married again his second wife died due to a serious illness no kids .
He collects bread from bakeries than from 3 am till  am he crushes it into batter to be used by the slumdog caterers in korma and tanduru.. the caterers give him rs 4 a kg for this batter .

His age is 65 .

His Acche Din are all over ,,,and Modiji has nothing to do with it ,, he is slave driven by his own North Indian brothers .. Muslims ..

It seems her neighbors the washer women are not to happy with her sitting and sleeping outside her house ..for reasons you can well understand , she is  physically challenged and cant move on her own.. she lives all by herself ..I really dont know her story but I have seen her feeding stray cats in the earlier happy days of her life .. and this was when I came to live in this area about 8 years back.

This morning I greeted her and her neighbors were grumbling about her and the days of compassion and tolerance are over..and surely her sole possession is this house in prime Bandra , that she said she had nominated to her nephew.

I have not seen her nephew .. it is a strange world have everything and you have nothing.

Sometimes I Feel Like Dorian Gray

“The books that the world calls immoral are books that show the world its own shame.”
― Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray

“Those who find ugly meanings in beautiful things are corrupt without being charming. This is a fault. Those who find beautiful meanings in beautiful things are the cultivated. For these there is hope. They are the elect to whom beautiful things mean only Beauty. There is no such thing as a moral or an immoral book. Books are well written, or badly written. That is all.”
― Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray

“I don't want to be at the mercy of my emotions. I want to use them, to enjoy them, and to dominate them.”
― Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray

“The only way to get rid of temptation is to yield to it.”
― Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray

“Never marry at all, Dorian. Men marry because they are tired, women, because they are curious: both are disappointed.”
― Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray

“Words! Mere words! How terrible they were! How clear, and vivid, and cruel! One could not escape from them. And yet what a subtle magic there was in them! They seemed to be able to give a plastic form to formless things, and to have a music of their own as sweet as that of viol or of lute. Mere words! Was there anything so real as words?”
― Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray

“There is no such thing as a moral or an immoral book.
Books are well written, or badly written. That is all.”
― Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray

“The world is changed because you are made of ivory and gold. The curves of your lips rewrite history.”
― Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray
