The Greatness of a Poet

lies in his sheer humility
he with closed eyes
sees a world that
he feels and this feeling he
imparts to others
crystallizes for those
who his world cant see
with conjured words
sheer beauty
even when he criticizes
another fellow poet
it is constructively
very positively
to make this novice
poet a better poet than he.
successfully
here lies the greatness
in his poetry
no poet want to be keats
byron wordsworth or shelley
great masters truly
aping them is not what
a poet would want to be
calling yourself
shelly byron or keats
holding on to silicone teats
can make you a poet
but write your own poetry
each has own style
form not to be
punished derogatorily
desensitizing a new poet
on the block for
his raw emotions
is not poetry
in spite of his idiomatic
didactic culpability
imagery symbolism
wit intelligence
in his poem
may be or not be
his ineptitude
or his technicality
guide him
or he will end up
a stillborn
before
he writes poetry.

this is dedicated to an american bully at poem hunter called foster blaine..
