one day
we have to go
a thought we forget
our mind we defraud
building a babel
of false hopes
just like nimrod

but yet
those whom we love
when they go
we curse our fate
blame god
for cheating us
treating us rough shod
the soul of the departed
a new journey unawed
we too that path will trod
