This is a single blade zanjir matam done in Chennai at Ashura at the 1000 light mosque , this is a powerful set Ashura Shahadat set at Flickr and only Flickr members can see it...

This was shot by me in 2010 and the Shia of Chennai are very devout and their display of Azadari is worth seeing it once in your lifetime.

I have shot Moharam in Mumbai where I live , Moharam in Lucknow where I was born, but I have been in Mumbai since the age of one.

I have shot Moharam in Delhi Kolkatta Hussain Tekri Jaorah MP ..

But one place that Moharam grows on you is Hyderabad.. virtually a Karbala in India.
