The Beggar Poet of India

barefeet
on burning soles
of my poetry
i walk
slithering silence
a betrayal
of my love
for her
i wont talk
a warrior queen
her heart made
of impregnable rock
i came to
taj mahal
to bury my passions
my deleted desires
my foolhardy dreams
but more pain
i unlocked
a year now
i am shell
shocked
delusions
lost illusions
in myriad
moods
of emotion
by my own
silhouette
i am mocked
