After I had my spiritual soul satisfying encounter with Lalbagh Chya Raja I decided to go to Wadala to shoot another famous Ganpati.
I dont know what triggered this or what made me take a bus to Wadala in the heavy rains barefeet no umbrella just faith and a camera that serves as a beggars bowl to shoot pictures and snare it with all of you.
This too becomes a part of my pictorial thread Hope and Hindutva a Message of Peace and Humanity..When I reached Wadala I introduced myself took the necessary permission , and fortunately a Mr Mallya had seen my work on GSB Kings Circle at Facebook so it added some creditibility to peope who did not know me .
I shot a lot of pictures but I was told to stop , by one of the members Mr Sudhir he did not want the devotees to be disturbed by my photography..so I thanked him and left the venue..
I was in bad shape my injured leg was in a bandage was soaked and the othe leg too was badly bruised ..my barefeet too needed rest so I took a bus for home to upload the Lalbagh Chya Raja pictures ,,shot today..

About GSB Ganeshotsav Samiti Wadla from their website
Among several festivals celebrated by the communities in Mumbai region the most prominent and popular one is “Ganesh Festival” which is celebrated socially and collectively. It is indeed Maharashtra’s mother of all festivals. Started off century year ago by India’s veteran freedom fighter Lokamanya Balgangadhar Tilak with a view to solicitating unity and integrity among Indians, Ganeshotsav served as a publicly accepted platform for national integration. This festival commences on 4th day of “SHUKLA PAKSHA” (waxing moon) of “Bhadrapada” month according to Hindu year and ends on “Anant Chaturdashi” (14th day), is celebrated in Mumbai with great enthusiasm, joy and grandeur. Lacs of devotees turn out at “Ganesh Pandals” throughout the festival to receive lord’s darshan.
The Saraswat Community migrated to Mumbai from places like Karnataka, Goa, Coastal Maharashtra, Kerala and permanently settled here as an intellectual class, and whose principal deity (aradhya devata) of worship happens to be “Mahaganapathi” participate in these festivities with a distinct identity of their rich culture.
