Life is a bed of Nails

a message from a poemhunter poet

Hi Firoz,

I wrote earlier and was wondering why it bounced back. I realised that I had written 10 instead of 01.

Sorry to hear about the "hate mail". It is unfortunate but try not to get too upset about it. If you are convinced about what you say and your reasons for why you say those things, to hell with anyone.

I too have seen some things happening on this site which I don't subscribe to. I read a poem of yours on the poets of poemhunter. There was a lot of truth in it. People compliment to be complimented in return - the" you scratch my back and I scratch your back" or "quid quo pro" trend. People write just so that they will be favourably commented on. This is very undermining for creativity and leads to commercialism - this is the graveyard of creativity. Why cant we just write what we feel and pay a compliment wherever it is due.

Anyway, I suppose that's how things are and we cannot change them. We have to just keep writing and being true to ourselves.

I look forward to your response.

Take care ... L

Life is not a bed of roses
Life a bed of nails
Criminals move about freely
Celebrity cult figures
Sanjay Dutt Salman in jails
Hyderabad bomb blasts
The dead the living the wails
The system that robs the
Dignity of living
The system that sucks the blood
Of the underprivileged
Liberty Equality Justice derails
God up in the Heavens raises his Hands
Even Godliness in the Garden of God fails
Man searching for the Holy Grail
Selfishness self centeredness
Terrorism, Yazidiyat Misguided Martyrdom
Built on such fairy tales
Choked gutters running blood
Bodies dismembered limbs
Scattered on hills and dales
Lady Justice blindfolded
Bleeding as a cruel Man
Monstrous Mankind
