on she dares
fighting for her
right to live her
right to freedom
fresh air even
god does not
hear her prayers
so much talk
just lip service
but who cares
for women s
safety welfare
for woman
be it Mumbai
Kolkatta Delhi
or any other
Indian city
it is walking a
precipice into
a nightmare
even cursed
for what she
wears ..raped
acid thrown
at her face
battered
murdered
so unfair
once a year
a woman's
day they
declare
her womanhood
held captive
remorse despair
