protests
away from
political machinations
or lumpen elements
no baton wielding cops
no water canons
women young and old
unpainted no dent
a nation cries
a nation repents
in the evil heart
of man lies a serpent
an iron rod a message
sent now new laws
they will invent
in a circus called
a fools parliament
they will present

till another girl is struck
down regret and relent
another soulless cry
flesh less lament
