Girl child
Born in captivity
At birth
On this planet
Of mother earth
Depreciation
Devalued as she grows
Her life not worth
Robbed of her jewels of mirth
After death too
Hung by a noose
Such is her
Spiritual rebirth
A travesty of a truth
