from the cops
to the top brass
everyone gunning
for your androgynous ass
they all want hijras
irrespective of color
caste or class
green the color of envy
on the other side of the grass

to be or not be a hijra
they ask
man also a woman
hiding behind a mask
it is accursed society
that makes man a eunuch
why take the hijra to task?
