Ae Dushmane Shabbir tere peer par laanat
O enemy of Husain, may God curse your leader
Tashreek per, tashkeek per, takfeer par laanat
Accursed is your branding of people as pagans, as weak minded, as disbelievers
Har agaib ke jhooton ke bade peer pay laanat
Accursed are the great liars of every era

Farzande Ali ibne Abi Bakr par rahmat
May God shower his mercy upon Mohammad the (adopted) son of Imam Ali (a.s.) who was the (biological) son of Abu Bakr (l.a.)
Momin nahin jo aap se rakhta ho adawat
Anyone who bears enmity towards Mohammad is definitely not a believer
Hayder ki aduww aap ki hamsheer par laanat
But may God curse his sister Ayehsa (l.a.), the enemy of Hayder (Imam Ali (a.s.))

Haq jisme nikalta ho agar Aale Nabiyy ka,
That in which there is a rightful portion of the family of Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.)
Bebaaq gar karza ho aale Nabiyy ka,
That in which there are usurped loans snatched from the family of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.)
Us maal o mansab o Jageer par laanat
May God curse such wealth, position and property

Jo Haqq ki hifazat ke liye kaam na aaye
Those that are not utilized for the protection of rights
Mazloomon ko kamzoron ko  nahaq jo daraye
Rather they are used to tyrannize the oppressed and the weak
Shamsheer o Sinan o Tabar o Teer pe laanat
May God curse such swords, spears, shields and arrows

Iblis ho Firaun ho ya Aale Umayyah
Be it Satan or the Pharoah or the Family of Umayyah
Shabbir ka dushman hai jo hai dushman Khuda ka
He is an enemy of God who is an enemy towards Imam Husain (a.s.)
Har daur ke Dushmane Shabbir par laanat
May God curse the enemies of Imam Husain (a.s.) of every era

Hakim ke mazalim ko chupane ke liye tha
That which was used to hide the tyranny of the King
Jo Khutbaye Sajjad dabane ke liye tha
That which was used to suppress the sermon of Imam Sajjad (a.s.)
Takbeer ke us naraye Takbeer pay laanat
May God curse that statement of “Allaho Akbar” (God is Great) used in that Call for Prayers (Azan)

Nahaq hua taraaj Mohammad ka gharana,
When the house of Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) was destroyed unjustly
Woh summate aabdi ko badi der mein aaya
Those pangs of regret of the followers of Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) were too late in their coming
Ehsaase pashemani ki taakheer par laanat
May God curse that delay in regret for not supporting Imam Husain (a.s.) in Karbala

Awlaade Umayyah ho ke ho woh Banu Abbas
Be it the children of Umayyah or Bani Abbas
Ho na Aale Mohammad ka jinko Adab o Paas
Whosoever does not pay their due respects to the family of Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.)
Us Fikr per, Us Khoon per, Us Sheer per laanat
May God curse that school of thought, that blood and that milk.

As many may not know and as it is not part of their culture , about this self infliction ritual of the Shias .I am one of the many .. we mourn for Imam Hussain the grandson of the Holy Prophet who was brutally murdered along with his family deprived of water food heads decapitated and were treated viciously even after death .. so that Yazid the supreme powerful tyrant could usurp their spiritual power of the first family of the Holy Prophet .. so for 2 month eight days akin to Holy Lent we remember their sacrifice , some beat their chests scourge their backs others cut their heads like me .. this is the longest 14000 year proest against a warlord Yazid ,,

And now as an educated Muslim , I have been bought up in a European school in Mumbaii , studied in Methodist and Roman Catholic and Jesuit institutions I have the greeatest respect for all religiosity fath as seen in my pictures ,,

But sadly and nobody wants to and will never acknowledge that Terrorism has existed in Islam , Arabs were barbarians many still are , we got a gift of Islam that was Peace Brotherhood , but our Imam Ali the cousin of the Holy Prophet was killed in a mosque , his son Imam Hussain was murdered , the resulting genocide its all their part of our Islam History ,, I as a Muslim distance myself from  such murderers rapists arsonists the ISIS the Talibans Boko Harams they have misplaced martyrdom and Islam too..We Shias even today are bombed killed but we talk of Peace even after our death .

My Moharam script is blood and gore ... and my Karbala is India ..

For me as a Shia where tears fall for Hussain it is Karbala
Where drop of blood fall in memory of Hussain it is Karbala,

Every place is Karbala every day is Ashura

Moharam Ashura in Chennai 2017 ..

I had shot Moharam  Ashura in Chennai 2010...met the humble Shias of Chennai created a bond with Mir Ashfaque and Mis Meesaq and others ..this was my first visit to Chennai during Moharam I had come earlier years back for styling costumes of mega star Chiranjeevi in a Sridevi starrer.

Then in 2017 I decided to document Ashura Moharam in Chennai again and Mir Ashfaque and Mir Meesaq who have a palatial building Imambara at Royapetttah invited me to stay at their Imambara .
Highly hospitable and caring the just the Shias but also our Sunni brethren and the Hindus of Chennai .

The Sunnis Shias live in peace and  this is what is important despite our ideological differences .

I shot the 7 Moharam Juloos and than the main procession Ashura Shahadat that  ends finally at 1000 Light Mosque .

I did my kama matam on the streets of Chennai..this is my personal protest against Yazidiyat ..it is my act ..and it is my head that bleeds ,.. good or bad in your perception does not bother me .


I have been doing it in every city I have shot Ashura and Chehlum....

I returned back to Mumbai but I have beautiful thoughts of the kind people of Chennai ,,, and I have a large number of Tamil friends in Mumbai I shoot their Marriammen Feast ..and am treated like a brother by all of them.

This is the beauty of India .. it touches us all this feeling is applicable to those who were born here and live here .

Ashura 

108 Year Old Syed Masoom Ali Baba Asqan Madari..

Loved revered by his followers held in high esteem by the Hindus of Panihar where he stays he has built clinics schools for them they call him an avtar of Shiva because of his dreadlocks ..long hair.

For them he is the pride of Panihar promoting love peace humanity between both Hindus Muslims in mutual co existence ..

Presidents ministers flock to him but he lives in austerity as I mentioned earlier I met him in 2005 at Ajmer Sharif he liked me and I respected him ..all my foreign photographer friends were totally in awe of him many drank the pyala from his hands and along with a Belgian friend I too drank the pyala ..my purpose was to document them truthfully sincerely and so I became a Malang in 2011 .

Many journeys later and in 2017 he surprised me making me his Khalifa at Makanpur ..and he is one face I can go on shooting it mesmerizes me fascinates me the calmness the holiness and his sanctified grace ..

He is felicitated by his Khalifas at Makanpur and Khalifa Iqbal bhai from Runiza does it beautifully offering him a shower of rose petals sweets turban cloth his new garments ..

His confidante companion is Syed Rafiq Ali Baba Masoomi my Murshad from Gujrat .

I dont think anyone has documented the Dam Madar Malang as I have prolifically and poetically ...

Both Syed Masoom Ali baba and Syed Rafiq Ali baba call me Maulaiee .. follower of Ali.

Twice a year I meet the malangs both at Makanpur and Ajmer sharif ,,,I cannot deny I love shooting them..it has nothing to do with their spiritual ideology or mine own..

I was lucky to shoot them both at Vasai East when they came for the funeral of one of their Khalifas at Kurla .

My connection with Syed Masoom Ali baba is cosmic..I bask in his humility and I found peace and though a Shia Muslim I partake share the sweetness of the Madarriya Silsila and Sufism..through my pictures ..my pictures are cryptic words seeking you out ,,, 

I learnt photography I honed it as a holistic art shooting diverse faiths in bloom in this beautiful garden India . country of my birth and my worth...

Documenting Sufi Monks of India And A Note on You Tube Trolls

I began documenting Sufism from Dargah of Makhdhoom Shah Baba ,,and I chose the Rafaees who sat at the Mahim dhuni as my subject of observation ..

These were Rafaees who sit here every Urus of the Holy Saint and are from Chand Shah Wali Dargah Andheri East.

Their Murshad was late Sikandar Wali baba through him I discovered Haji Malang several other dargahs of Mumbai.

I visited Ajmer Sharif in 2005 thanks to Peersab Fakhru Miya Hujra no 6 I began documenting the Chishtiya Silsila ..I stayed at Peersabs house ..

It was in 2005 I met Syed Masoom Ali Baba Asqan Madari and Syed Rafiq Ali Baba Masoomi I began documenting them too..

I met late Noubat Ali Baba Jalali Malangs at Jalali Chowk Sola Khamba Ajmer I shot him till his death in 2017.


It was in 2011 I took bayt of the Malangs from Syed Masoom Ali Baba with a Belgian photographer and my documentation of the Malangs began  at Ajmer and Makanpur ..

My quest for Sufism was not my quest for spirituality it was the need of my camera and my love for photography ..and my photography was non commercial ... the camera was my main tool of education.. learning showcasing diverse faiths in India living in peace hope and harmony .

As my dress code was very colorful from the beginning being a Bollywood stylist I could easily fit in with the bawas monks etc..

I loved silver jewelry rare holistic sticks and I only wore turbans  it was part of the drama of my life ,..

I must mention and I hope You Tube management takes note that the You Tube trolls without faces or profile are nothing but dangerous cyber bullies who attack your posts because it goes against their own religiosity or narrow mindedness .

If I could I would block commenting here but I moderate the comments most abusive vulgar and inappropriate I simply report and block..so I have the last laugh .. all your hate I dissolve without it ever seeing the light of day.

Whether I am a Shia Sufi its none of your business ..I  live in India and Hinduism is my cultural inheritance and I m a born Indian proud of my country and my roots .

So I hope You Tube makes it mandatory to get rid of these abusers trolls haters bigots ..

Or please close down this community forum.. of goodwill and exchange .


I too can abuse but I wont as it would reflect disgracefully on my parentage and my upbringing..and my seniority and my Indianness .

That is one reason my You Tube comment box has been completely disabled it has no place for your ignorance your lack of etiquette ..and your madrsa type one track mind of hating Shias Sufis and Hindus ..

Roshan Ali Malang Khademan In Orange is an Abusive Photographer Hating Malang Makanpur 2018

On the left is Malang Roshan Ali of Khademan an insult to the sanctity of Madarriya Silsila of Makanpur this rogue abusive Malang treated me shabbily accusing me a Khalifa of Syed Masoom Ali Baba of selling images and he was finally rebuked and punished by his Peer Phool Shah Madari ..

He insulted my French friend too and we were guests of Holy Saint Zinda Shah Madar

I  complained about him to Shehzade Syed Baqi Sab Gaddi Nasheen Makanpur and his son my dear Syed Zafar Mujibul Baqi Madari.
