who sat outside
the office of a
political party's
gate his clients
all netas a few
rich moneyed
seths ..this was
his first client
in the morning
boni time could
no wait ,, he told
her that her shani
was receding mangal
was in dire straits
she the poor uneducated
muslim lady her son
was in the lock up
for the azad maidan riots
she was hoping he would
be absolved because of
his first mistake he was
of a young age .. and she
cursed those demons
who had engineered
the riots disappeared
he was caught along
with his mates ..
so the fate of a
muslim mother is
always caught in
fear at the mercy of
time even when
bombs detonate
first suspects
have to prove their
innocence before
they prove their
guilt ..will the lady
with the blindfold
scales in hands
be like this mother
in a veil..a thought
to contemplate .
as a poet a street picture became fodder to my mind ,,not open to debate ..
