This is my second segment of Chehlum Arbaee once the juloos from the streets reaches Rehmatabad Shia cemetery , this is a very small cemetery and gets unduly overcrowded with women children and men.
The events start with marsiyas and noha recital a short majlis by Maulana Irshad Abbas from Lucknow and after he takes a swipe t his head with the kama , the hardcore khooni matam begins , this area is nothing short of a war zone , and shooting this is highly risky, dangerous , but if you can shoot this as close as I have shot it you can shoot in a hail of bullets , and keep missing them , this is my honest and sincere appraisal having done kama matam here ast year and having shot the matam zani here for several years.
This is neither bravado nor boast, but I shoot from the scene of action , squeezing myself in the crowds , sometimes falling at the feet of the sword matamdar and shooting directly into his eyes.
Habib Nasser is a family friend in the mold of Ali Shah and Jalal Mamu , he takes inspiration from them , and his matam is the deadliest, after he opens up his back he further uses the flagellating blades non stop, the crowds have to forcibly stop him , his wounds are stitched at Habib Hospital Dongri.
He does sword matam at Amin Imambada on Ashura and at Rehmatabad Shia cemetery on Chehlum.
