plants don’t weep
plants don’t sleep
plants don’t have
promises to keep
man in an
arched sleep
nightmares
that leap
from the
comforts
of his bed
to a dust heap
exotic plants
over walls creep
man poisons man
even when asleep
predestined doom
unsweep
one mans woman
another mans keep
