The Lepers Of Taragadh Were Perhaps Once Beautiful And Fair

life was nice
every breath
refreshing
rare than came
the disease
they did not
care thrown
out on the streets
now beg at the fair
close to the market
square open wounds
maggots eat the flesh
a living nightmare
losing fingers toes
the scalp and the hair
caught in a vice of a
deathly snare ..
the beggars of
taragadh lepers
beyond repair
